The 67th session of the CSW will take place on 14 March 2023 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The theme of the session was “Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls in the Digital Age.” The CSW is the principal global intergovernmental body that is dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.

The session brought together representatives from UN Member States, UN entities, and civil society organizations to discuss progress and challenges in the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, which was adopted at the Fourth World Conference on Women in 1995. The session also provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences and best practices in advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment in the digital age.

During the session, there were high-level roundtables, interactive dialogues, and parallel events that covered a wide range of topics related to the theme of the session. Some of the issues that were discussed included digital inclusion and connectivity, online violence against women and girls, the gender digital divide, and the role of technology in advancing gender equality.

The outcomes of the 67th session of the CSW will contribute to the ongoing efforts to achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls in the digital age, and will inform the development of policies and programs at the national, regional, and global levels
